About the Event
Registration for this hike is through Durham Recreation and people from all towns are invited. Registrants will need to create an account with Durham Recreation.
Join us for a 3/4 mile hikes that includes a visit to the large vernal pool in the Field Forest, Durham with naturalist, Lucy Meigs. We will likely see wood frog and salamander eggs, fairy shrimp, insect larvae and hopefully a few wood frogs still "quacking”. Come prepared for the weather, and for trails that may be muddy in places. If you have very young children or infants, a backpack carrier is suggested.
This hike is a joint program of Everyone Outside, the Durham Recreation, and the Coginchaug Outdoor Enrichment Center.
