Middle School Nature Explorers Program

This Everyone Outside nature connection program helps emerging young adults deepen their connection with the natural world and their peers through hiking, nature games and kid-led exploration of beautiful Palmer-Taylor Preserve as well as guided farming activities at Fire Ring Farm in Portland. This program is open to youth in grades 6-8 (approx. ages 12-14) and is conducted in partnership with Fire Ring Farm's Erin Livensparger, who brings 15 years experience as a youth health educator. Students will learn how to navigate trails, carve wood, explore, build shelters, identify wild plants, play games and build relationships with their peers in an all-outdoor, screen-free environment.
