About the Event
Join us for a 2 to 3-mile family-friendly hike at the Mt Pisgah & Mica Ledges Preserves lead by naturalist and EO Director, Lucy Meigs. We will take a look at all the beaver activity along Chalker Brook and visit the beautiful Whitney Pond. This guided hike will be a combination of walking on old roads, narrow trails and some off trail walking to see beaver activity.
This hike is co-sponsored by the Middlesex Land Trust and the Coginchaug Outdoor Enrichment Center.
Please wear sturdy hiking/walking shoes and bring a pack with water and a snack. Hiking poles may be desireable for the rocky sections of trail which may in places be covered with leaves. The Mica Ledges preserve is owned and managed by the Madison Land Conservation Trust & the Middlesex Land Trust. For a map of the area we will hike, click here.
Please consider making a donation to Everyone Outside. Suggested donation $5 to $20 per hike. We depend on donations from people like you to make our programs possible.
