Girls after-school nature connection in Middletown (for Girls in Grades 2-5)

Mondays 3:45-6:00pm

9/20 - 12/6/21, 2 sessions

Come enjoy some outdoor time with Everyone Outside! We will spend time connecting with the natural world around us as nature detectives, scientists and artists. As we explore the woods, we will work together to solve nature mysteries, use viewing scopes to examine the creatures and plants we find, and play games.

Full/Half Day Program

Farm and forest program at Fire Ring Farm in Portland (Ages 8-12)

Wednesdays, Nov. 10-Dec. 15

Full day (9-3pm); Half-day (12-3pm)

Come explore Palmer-Taylor Preserve and Fire Ring Farm with caring nature mentors. Play nature connection games, hone your nature skills and learn about growing healthy food from the program staff at Fire Ring Farm! Space is limited in this program!

in Middlefield

Afternoon Nature Explorers Program

in Middlefield (Grades 3-6)

Thursdays, 3-6pm

9/23 - 10/28 (rain date: 11/7)

Afternoon nature connection program in the Rockfall Forest at Wadsworth Falls State Park starting at Memorial School. Join us for child-led play and exploration with energetic, caring nature mentors. 

This program will be limited to 12 children and takes place entirely outdoors in all weather.

Preteen Nature Explorers
Series

Nature and Self Exploration for kids in grades 6-8 Fire Ring Farm in Portland

 2 x per month, Sundays 1-4pm

Starting October 10th

The goal of this program is to help preteens strengthen their confidence and self-esteem, learn to foster positive connections with their peers as well as the natural world and increase their personal and collective strengths while using their own authentic voices.

Herbal Kids (a partner program with Fire Ring Farm)

Fun lessons for children and their caregivers about medicinal plants and herbs!

Dates: Sundays, 9/5, 9/12, 9/26 & 10/3   

Time: 10am-12pm

Bring the whole family to learn about fall herbs in 4 weekends: Goldenrod, Elderberry, Sage and Fennel

Activities include: herbal product making, scavenger hunts, coloring, eating edible plants, connecting to nature, singing songs and so much more! 

These programs are free but a donation will gratefully be accepted to support our work connecting children and adults with the natural world and locally farmed, organic food.
