About the Event

Come for the craft and stay for the concert! Join Everyone Outside and Russell Library staff for an outdoor art project using natural materials! You will learn how to make your own brush and paints from common plants in our area and then use them to make your own painting. If you have some flowers you want to try using, feel free to bring them along. We will be meeting by the Tennis Pavilion at the Wadsworth Mansion at Long Hill Estate (address is 421 Wadsworth Street in Middletown, Connecticut). The Pavilion is next to the large lawn in the back of the Mansion.

Supplies may be limited, so please register. (Raindate: Wednesday 7/21)

Parking will be at at Mercy High School, 1740 Randolph Road (closer to Tennis Pavilion, especially northwest portion) and Wilbert Snow School.

We encourage attendees to bring a blanket and/or chairs to sit on, plus you can bring (or buy) dinner and stay to hear CJ West and the Downtown Train perform at the Music at the Mansion series at 6:30!

We wish to thank the Rockfall Foundation for supporting our programs for families.

If you have been to program or two, please consider making a donation to Everyone Outside. Suggested donation $5 to $20 per person/family per program. We depend on donations from people like you to make our programs possible. Click here for more information on ways you can donate to Everyone Outside. Our hikes, our children’s programs and other Everyone Outside activities either have a sliding scale fee structure or are free (with a request for a donation from those who are able). We depend on our supporters to make our programs acessable, regardless of financial need. Your donation is greatly appreciated!
