About the Event

Do you have a baby? Are you expecting one soon? Do you have an itch to get into nature? Are you hoping to meet more parents like you!? Everyone Outside’s Baby & Caregiver Hikes offer a chance to get out into nature with your little one and meet other local parents. We take the time to admire the beauty around us, learn about the local flora and fauna, and offer an informal space for parental sharing and support.

Sunday Dec. 5th, 1:30-3:30 pm we will be hiking at Hubbard Park in Meriden.  The trail meanders by a beautiful lake and is entirely paved, so you can choose to hike with your baby in a carrier (front pack, sling, backpack, etc.) or stroller. The hike will be 2-3 miles, is suitable for all skill levels, and will be led by Emmy Brockman with her 15-month old daughter. We all know December can be chilly, so be sure to bundle and the hike will be cancelled/postponed for temperatures below freezing or other inclement weather.

Registration required. Directions will be sent to those that register and registrants will be notified via email if the hike is postponed or cancelled due to weather.

If you have been to a program or two, please consider making a donation to Everyone Outside. Suggested donation $5 to $15 per hike. We depend on donations from people like you to make our programs possible. Click here for more information on ways you can donate to Everyone Outside. Our hikes, our children’s programs and other Everyone Outside activities either have a sliding scale fee structure or are free (with a request for a donation from those who are able). We depend on our supporters to make our programs accessible, regardless of financial need. Your donation is greatly appreciated!
