About the Event

This hike has been cancelled due to the high temperatures.

Join Women of the Woods (WoW) for a ~3 mile summer hike at this nice Middlesex Land Trust preserve.  We will spend some time learning how to read maps to avoid getting lost and what to do if you think you are lost or turned around. We will enjoy the view from the beautiful ledges, pyramid rock and Whitney Pond. There are some rocky areas and  a couple significant  and occaisionally steep ups and downs. To keep the group small, we are offering a hike on both Wed, July 20  at 8:30 AM and Sun, July 24 at 5:30 PM.  This hike is co-sponsored by the Middelsex Land Trust.

Please wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring a pack with plenty of water and a snack. Hiking poles and insect repellant reccomended.

Please consider making a donation to Everyone Outside. Suggested donation $5 to $20 per hike. We depend on donations from people like you to make our programs possible. Click here for more information on ways you can donate to Everyone Outside. Your donations keep our programs affordable and provide funding for scholarships for our other nature connection programs. Your donation is greatly appreciated! Women of the Woods is supported, in part, by a grant from REI.

Women of the Woods (WoW) is a program of Everyone Outside and is open to all those who identify as female or gender nonbinary. In addition to walking, we will take the time to admire the beauty around us, learn a bit about the flora or fauna, do some exercises to connect with the natural world (mostly sitting quietly) and enjoy each other's company.

Registration required. Directions will be sent to those that register and registrants will be notified via email if the hike is postponed or cancelled due to weather.
