About the Event
Join Women of the Woods for a 3+ mile hike at River Highlands State Park in Cromwell. The high bluff at the preserve give wonderful view both up and down the CT River. Our hike will take us to a couple bluff viewpoints and down into a small gorge that will take us down to the river. If we have had recent rain the trail may be a bit slick in places as we go down or up, especially if there are still fallen leaves on it.
Please wear sturdy hiking shoes, bring a pack with water, a snack and dress for the weather. You may want to bring hiking poles if you like the extra support and stability they provide, especially if we have had recent damp weather. Click here for a map.
