WoW Hike at the East River Preserve - 3/9/24

Join Women of the Woods for a 4 - 5 mile hike at the East River Preserve in Guilford. This preserve is wonderfully varied. Our hike will take us along the edge of fields, next to the tidal channels of the East River, near inland wetlands, through a wooded area with hundreds of boulders presumably left by the glaciers and more. The trail will be very rocky at times and there will be lots of short ups and downs. To keep the group small, we are offering this hike on both March 9 and  March 11th. This hike will be faster paced and longer than the hike on March 11th.

Please wear sturdy hiking shoes, bring a pack with water, a large snack (or lunch) and dress for the weather.  You may want to bring hiking poles if you like the extra support and stability they provide, especially in places…
