WoW Hike - Braemore Preserve, Guilford

Join Women of the Woods (WoW) for a 3 - 4 mile socially distanced early spring hike at the Braemore Preserve in northern Guilford. The hike starts at 2:30 PM. We will visit a vernal pool, enjoy the views from a few ledges and hopefully find some early spring wild flowers. There are a few steep ups and downs and some rocky areas.  Masks are optional for this program since it is all outside. Click here for a map of the Braemore Preserve.

Please wear sturdy hiking shoes with good tread. Please bring a pack with water, an extra warm layer (for our sit spot) and a snack. You may want to bring hiking poles if you like the extra support and stability they provide. 

Women of the Woods is a program of Everyone Outside. In addition to walking, we will take the time to admire the beauty around us, learn a bit about the flora or fauna, do some exercises to connect with the natural world (mostly sitting quietly) and enjoy each other's company. Women of the Woods (WoW) is a program of Everyone Outside and is open to all those who identify as female or gender nonbinary.

Registration required. Directions will be sent to those that register and registrants will be notified via email if the hike is postponed or cancelled due to weather.
