About the Event
Join Women of the Woods for a ~3.5-mile loop hike in the Mica Ledges and Mt Pisgah/Chalker Brook Preserves. We will take a look at the beaver activity along Chalker Brook and visit the beautiful Whitney Pond. This loop hike will be a combination of walking on old roads, narrow trails and a small amount off trail walking to see beaver activity. There will be a few rocky sections of trail and some mostly gradual ups and downs.
Women of the Woods (WoW) is a program of Everyone Outside and is open to all those who identify as female or gender nonbinary. In addition to walking, we will take the time to admire the beauty around us, learn a bit about the flora or fauna, do some exercises to connect with the natural world (mostly sitting quietly) and enjoy each other's company.
