About the Event
Join Women of the Woods for a Zoom* program to about the nature connection practices of sit spot and wandering. You can connect with others and learn how you can tune in to the nature where you live and get the benefits of relaxed and timeless time in nature. The essence of sit spot is sitting quietly outside and focusing on being present in the natural world. A sit spot can be somewhere you sit one time on a hike or you can choose a place near where you live (even inside looking out a window) and visit it regularly. Wandering is the simple practice of focusing on being present and using your 5 senses while moving slowly through an area that has natural features (e.g. trees, bushes). The practices of sit spot and wandering are great ways to reduce your stress and to learn about your nature neighbors. They…
