WoW Sunset Hike, Mt Pisgah, Durham - 9-20-26

Join Women of the Woods for a 3+ mile hike at the beautiful Mt. Pisgah Preserve. We will hike a nice loop including having a picnic supper and watching the sunset from the summit of Mt Pisgah. We will hike down at dusk on an old road (~1/2-mile). We will hike by a wetland with beaver dams and heron nests, enjoy the beauty of Chaulker Brook valley. There will be some steep and rocky places, especially on the ascent to the Mt Pisgah summit. This hike will be longer and more challenging than the hike on Thurs, Sept 10.

We will meet ~4:15 on Pisgah Rd, so by 4:30pm we can start our 1/2 mile carpool to hike start location. Please wear sturdy hiking shoes, bring a pack with an extra layer, water, a sack dinner and a headlamp (or flashlight) for the hike down. Hiking pole(s) strongly recommend for…
