About the Event
Join us for an informal workshop to learn how to make a pine bark basket. We will learn about the white pine tree, how to harvest the bark and use it to make baskets and other creations. Each person will harvets pieces of bark and make one or more baskets in the style of their choosing. Supplies will be provided.
This workshop is part of the Women of the Woods gathering at Rockland Preserve (click here for more info about the gathering). You are welcome to attend this workshop even if you do not attend the rest of the gathering. The workshop will be held at the group campsite at Rockland Preserve which is a 1/3 mile walk from the parking lot. Additional information and directions to get to the meeting spot will be provided to those who register. Please register here if you will only be attending this pine bark basket workshop. Cost: $10 per person. After you register we will let you know how to pay the $10. If the cost is ever a barrier, please contact Lucy and we will make it work.
