About the Event

Hike postponed to June 28 at 1:30 PM. Click here for new link.

Do you have a baby? Are you expecting one soon? Do you have an itch to get into nature? Are you hoping to meet more parents like you!? Everyone Outside’s Baby & Caregiver Hikes offer a chance to get out into nature with your little one and meet other local parents. We take the time to admire the beauty around us, learn about the local flora and fauna, and offer an informal space for parental sharing and support. Space limited to 12 hikers; social distancing is encouraged and masking is optional.    On June 22nd from 1:30-3:30 we will be hiking at Tyler Mill Preserve in Wallingford. The trail is unpaved and rugged in places, so hiking with your baby in a carrier (front pack, sling, backpack, etc.) is recommended.  The hike will be 2-3 miles, is suitable for all skill levels, and will be led by Emmy Brockman with her 10-month old daughter.

Registration required. Directions will be sent to those that register and registrants will be notified via email if the hike is postponed or cancelled due to weather.

If you have been to program or two, please consider making a donation to Everyone Outside. Suggested donation $5 to $20 per hike. We depend on donations from people like you to make our programs possible. Click here for more information on ways you can donate to Everyone Outside. Our hikes, our children’s programs and other Everyone Outside activities either have a sliding scale fee structure or are free (with a request for a donation from those who are able). We depend on our supporters to make our programs acessable, regardless of financial need. Your donation is greatly appreciated!
