About the Event

Join Women of the Woods (WoW) for an ~3 mile socially distanced spring hike at the beautiful Wadsworth Mansion grounds and Wadsworth Falls State Park. The grounds of Wadsworth Mansion are especially beautiful in the spring. There will be a couple fairly steep ups and downs and occasional rocky areas, but most of the trails provide easy walking. We will check out the tadpoles at both parks and there will most likely be the option for a brief visit inside Wadsworth Mansion. To keep the group small, we are offering this hike on both Mon, May 24 at 9:30 AM and Wed, May 26  at 5:30 PM.  Space limited to 12 women per hike. Masks are required for a portion of this program.

Please wear hiking shoes and bring a pack with water, a snack and perhaps an extra layer (for our sit spot).

Women of the Woods is a program of Everyone Outside. In addition to walking, we will take the time to admire the beauty around us, learn a bit about the flora or fauna, do some exercises to connect with the natural world (mostly sitting quietly) and enjoy each other's company. This program is part of our Women of the Woods (WoW) programing and is meant for women or female identifying people only, please.

If you have been to program or two, please consider making a donation to Everyone Outside. Suggested donation $5 to $20 per hike. We depend on donations from people like you to make our programs possible. Click here for more information on ways you can donate to Everyone Outside. Our WoW hikes, our children’s programs and other Everyone Outside activities either have a sliding scale fee structure or are free (with a request for a donation from those who are able). We depend on our supporters to make our programs acessable, regardless of financial need. Your donation is greatly appreciated!

Women of the Woods is supported, in part, by a grant from the Community Foundation of Middlesex County's Sari Rosenbaum Fund for Women and Girls.

Registration required. Directions will be sent to those that register and registrants will be notified via email if the hike is postponed or cancelled due to weather.
