Clean Out Your Closets, Connect Kids to Nature!
This season, your gently used items can help get more people outside!
Now through December 10th, drop off your donations at one of our sites in Middletown, Durham, or Portland (details below) to support Everyone Outside. Savers Thrift Store will pay us for your donated items, funding our nature connection programs across central Connecticut!
We are accepting:

Wearable clothing & accessories
-
Small housewares (e.g. toys, kitchen items, hand tools, etc)

Sporting goods
-
Small electrical items
Please see below for details on what we can and cannot accept.

Details on donation items:
Please contact Erin in advance for any large items (bigger than larger than 2ft in size in all directions) so we can determine whether it is something we can accommodate.

We are looking for gently used
-
clothing and shoes (all ages/genders)
-
accessories (hats, mittens, scarves, ties, nylons, socks, underwear, purses, wallets, fanny packs, bags)​​
-
housewares: toys, games, puzzles, jewelry, crafts, mugs, pots, pans, candles, pictures/frames, utensils, small garden tools, china cups, vases, dishes, cutlery, stuffed animals, glassware, silverware, stemware, baskets, ornaments, hand tools
-
small electrical items: toasters, radio, power tools, irons, blenders, mixers, small stereos, CD players
-
small sporting goods: baseball gloves, helmets, sport balls
We will not be accepting:
Items that are damaged, broken, moldy, unwearable
Books or media
Make up & personal toiletries
Large items such as furniture
Rugs

Drop off Locations:
Portland:
Fire Ring Farm, 247 Middle Haddam Rd
There will be a bin in the driveway for your donations

Durham:
Durham Community Center, 144 Picket Lane
There will be a box inside the front door for your donations. Drop off any time the Center is open.
Standard hours: Mon - Fri 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Middletown:
Wesleyan University Bailey College of the Environment, 284 High Street
Parking is behind the building. Enter parking lot just past 279 Court Street (see below). The Bailey College of the Environment is located in a blue house.
Drop items in main lobby on 1st floor. Drop-offs are open the following days (or by appointment).
From 9:30am - 3:00pm on the following dates: Nov 25, Dec 1, 2, 4, 5
After-hours drop-offs December 1-3 on the front porch of 284 High St.
