WoW Hike - Rockland Preserve, Madison - 10/8/23

Join Women of the Woods for an ~2 mile hike in the nice woods at the Rockland Preserve. This will be a realtively easy hike in part on old roads (some loose rocks). We will likely have a sit spot by Coan Pond. This hike will end in time for the start of the WoW 15th Anniversary Gathering. Hikers and encouraged to stay for the event (nature related activities, potluck, evening fire and the option to camp). Click here for details.

Please wear sturdy hiking shoes, bring a pack with an extra layer, water, and a snack.  We will be done by ~3:15 PM or likely earlier depending on the group & the weather. Directions will be sent to those who register.

Women of the Woods (WoW) is a program of Everyone Outside and is open to all those who identify as female or gender nonbinary. In addition to walking, we will take the time to admire the beauty around us, learn a bit about the flora or fauna, do some exercises to connect with the natural world (mostly sitting quietly) and enjoy each other's company.

Registration required. Directions will be sent to those that register and registrants will be notified via email if the hike is postponed or cancelled due to weather.
